Text Box: HELLO! My name is Cheryl Canonge. I am married and have two grown sons. Ken and his wife live and work in Baltimore, Maryland, and James lives and works in Washington, D.C. Our family has lived in Summerville for 26 years and the boys went to Summerville schools. I have taught in Dorchester Two, at OES, for 11 years. During most of those years I taught first grade reading. However, I have especially enjoyed years in second grade because these students have a background in a lot of areas, are excited about the things they already know and are eager to learn more. This year I look forward to encouraging your child to build the habit of thinking more deeply in every subject area, and helping him/her to be successful academically and socially. I would like to see the students respect each other and follow classroom guidelines so we will have an orderly and pleasant time while we are at school.
