About Us “No one has yet realized the wealth of sympathy, the kindness and generosity hidden in the soul of a child. The effort of every true education should be to unlock that treasure.”

Teaching is my joy and my mission. There is nothing to compare in seeing a child’s eyes light up with pride and success. My entire teaching career has been here at DD2 and my credentials include: · 8 1/2 years as a Teaching Asst. with the first ED self-contained class in the district · Early Childhood Education ,Charleston Southern University · Special Education/ED, College of Charleston · Masters of Education/LD, The Citadel · 60 plus hours beyond Masters I continue to LOVE LEARNING!! I
TEACHING is my HERITAGE. My grandmother was a teacher in the 1890’s, my mother at 91 years young continues to teach knitting, crochet and she has taught in Adult Ed. I have 9 cousins who are teachers (5 being in Special Ed.) and my daughter Wramie teaches at DuBose Middle. She will be attending the Citadel in the summer to pursue a Master’s in Administration. Needless to say I am very proud of her, she is an asset to our district and education in general.
