Text Box: Hello! My name is Ann Riley. I am currently teaching third grade
here at OES. I was born in New York City, but my family moved to
Georgia when I was in the second grade. I received my Early Childhood and Elementary Education degree from Clemson University. I went to The College of Charleston for my Master’s Degree. After teaching five years in Berkeley County, I came to OES. I have been here since 1989.

I live in Summerville with my husband, Wil, my two children, and our yellow lab named Sallie. Logan, my daughter, is 16 and a junior at SHS. Walker, my son, is 12 and attends Alston Middle School. When I am not at school, I enjoy listening to Logan sing in the SHS Chorus and Walker play soccer. Our family enjoys going to Edisto Beach and watching Clemson football. Go Tigers!!

I am excited about the opportunity to work with you this year. Here are some general goals that Mrs. Blackmon and I intend to achieve this school year.

To incorporate new technology into lessons
To provide hands-on experiences for students in Mathematics and Science throughout the year
To use the “Bear Patch Outdoor Classroom”
To establish and maintain a positive feeling tone in the classroom by promoting the five Lifelong Guidelines and Lifeskills based on the most successful brain research.
The new PAWS program will promote these skills!
