Good things: Mr. Cook has volunteered his time to help out with tardies in the morning. The Evans are going to a wedding on Pawleys Island. Mrs. Boutin’s neighborhood went all out for Halloween.
- Social Contract: Get Signatures
- Angel Tree - We have 110 tags this year. Mrs. Lawson is asking if SIC can support - Mrs. Flood and Mrs. Taylor has agreed to take a few tags this year. (9 tags were taken care of).
- Low Country Cares - 2nd Saturday of the month. Eagle Nest will also have Low Country Cares once a month. Gilliard will check in to find out when Eagle Nest is doing theirs.

- Deployment cycles in the Air Force have changed. 50-60% of an entire unit will be deployed at a time. Military families affected. Larger groups of families are leaving at one time.

1. Good Things
- New Playground Equipment: A wish list is due by this Wednesday. Equipment is expected to be installed and ready by the summer.
2. Parent Climate Survey
- The annual district climate survey has not been released yet.
- Capturing Kids’ Hearts (CKH) Survey: Results were positive. The school had higher participation this year.
- School Report Card: The current score is 7.8 out of 10. Both the CKH and official report card data (including teacher and student surveys) will be reviewed at the next meeting.
3. Spann Elementary Closing & District Growth

- New Construction: A new school is planned for "The Ponds" area to address Summerville's growth, though completion is 3 years away.
- Redistricting: Spann Elementary is being repurposed for district programs.
- Spann students will transition to Summerville Elementary and Sires Elementary.
- Approximately 85 students from Sires will be rezoned to Oakbrook Elementary (OES).
- OES will receive additional teacher allocations from Spann for the next school year.
4. Construction Update
- The new Kindergarten building is progressing and slated for completion by May.
- Features: 4 Kindergarten classrooms, 5 First Grade classrooms, tiled floors, and an awning connecting it to the main building.
- Playground: Plans include sensory playground equipment.
5. School Data (Winter MAP)
- Kindergarten & 1st Grade: Showing strong growth (indicated in "the green").
- 3rd Grade: Currently showing low achievement scores.
- ELA: Demonstrating high growth and high achievement overall, credited to the new curriculum.

- Storm the Citadel: The "Bearbots" will participate in the competition (9:00–11:00 AM). Future goals include the Trebuchet contest.
7. Questions, Concerns, & Announcements
- Facilities: Discussion on improving stage lighting and monitoring sound equipment on the new playground.
- Operations: Morning arrival flow has improved with extra staff support.
- Staff Development: Mrs. Boutin and two teachers will attend a Math Conference (Feb 11–13). Planning days are scheduled to support induction and new-to-OES teachers.
- Community: Low Country Cares needs volunteers on February 14th.

2. School Renewal Plan
a. Needs assessment data (SC Ready)
b. School Climate Survey: parents, teachers, and students
c. Create a QR code for parents to use at Wellness Night and at the 2nd grade showcase
- Can a QR code be created? Internet access wasn’t working during the meeting.
- May need to put a link in Parent Square and send out directions to parents multiple times.
- Teachers will walk students through completing the survey during class.

3. ATSI: Additional Targeted Support and Improvement designation. Part of the Read to Succeed Act. OES will align our school renewal plan, reading plan, and title plan with the ATSI plan to create a cohesive structure of support.
4. Upcoming Events: Wellness Night tonight @6pm Mrs. Evans will hold a station. 50 people expected to attend. The event is confined to the café, primary building, and Multipurpose room. International Night - April 30, 6:00 – 7:30 pm. Flags from last year need to be found or recreated.
5. Ideas for Future Parent Nights for 26-27- for documentation and participation, have tickets for students to get signed or stamped as they visit each booth or classroom at the event. They would turn the ticket in at the end of the event for a prize drawing.

2. Title One Spring Planning Meeting #2 2025-2026
Title presentation slides were shared. Key discussions included:
- The ATSI process and aligning the School Renewal Plan with the Title I and ATSI plans.
- Teacher Certification: A question was raised regarding whether any teachers are currently uncertified; the answer was no.
- Current Title I Strategies: The council reviewed strategies to evaluate effectiveness and document feedback.
- Title I Plan (2025-2026): Emphasis was placed on ensuring the Title I Plan mirrors the needs identified in the School Strategic Plan.
- Data Review: Discussion regarding MAP Data and identifying specific school needs.
3. School Renewal Plan
- Discussion on the Climate Survey involving both teachers and students.
4. Parent Surveys
- Surveys are due by April 17, 2026. All parents present at the meeting have already completed their surveys.
